this is a digital space to catalogue my phd journey from here on out (jan 2023–?) and will serve as a sort of memoir.  I am a current 4th year student and my student visa expires june 2027, so the finish line is somewhere before then. 

my intention with this site is to portray the personal side of my academic roles. to share my experiences and self-reflections. to hold myself accountable and foster my intrinsic motivation. to practice my science communication and self-expression outside the box of academic writing. to better understand the ethos of my research and find my niche while remaining open to questioning fundamental beliefs.  to consider and grapple with intellectual questions, especially relating to learning/memory, linguistics, and philosophy of mind/mental health.
